Applies to: Zoapi Hub v10.5600 and above Last Updated: 18-May-2019
Zoapi HUB is a plug and play device for your meeting rooms. Setting up Zoapi is very simple. All it requires is a display, power source and a network source preferably with internet. But sometimes it might be little tricky to set up a new device on heavily guarded corporate networks with firewalls and network rules. In this article we explain all the network requirements from Zoapi.
Zoapi Hub guidelines
- If your network uses proxies, refer to the proxy details document available under the knowledgebase
- Hub requires access to the internet, for the following sites:
- zoapi.com (http & https)
- gstatic.com (https)
- msftconnecttest.com (http)
- Hub will route traffic from Wi-Fi access point through it. The traffic routing is from Wi-Fi access point to Ethernet/Wi-Fi link
- To filter internet access rights, filter outgoing routes from the Zoapi Hub device
- You can also set the WAN settings of Wi-Fi access point to disabled to block complete internet access over Wi-Fi access point
- Network isolation
- The Wi-Fi link and the Ethernet link are isolated: However client Devices will continue to be able to screen share from both networks. You can also connect another isolated Ethernet network using USB to Ethernet converter.
- Ports: Zoapi Hub requires following ports to be open in the network for its communication between Zoapi Hub and internet and between Zoapi Hub and client device.
- 2203
- 56789
- 56987
- 9050
- 9051
- 53 (dns)
End-User guidelines
- End users connect to the internet, to the following sites:
- zoapi.com (http & https)
- gstatic.com (https)
- End user clients will also require port 53 (dns) to lookup share.zoapi.com
- End user client only makes outgoing connections. No special firewall filtering is required
- End user client runs in user mode, does not require admin rights on windows
- End user client on Mac might request admin permissions for installation
- Client device will connect to Zoapi Hub on following ports.
- 2203
- 56789
